Glade Festival 2012

Set in Norfolk (and basically the middle of nowhere), Glade is a dance festival, which originally started out as a stage at Glastonbury. I was invited to go, by the lovely people at Glade, and what a wicked time I had!

The one thing that really stood out for me, and in my opinion is really important at a festival, was the energy and atmosphere that everyone had. Walking around, everybody was smiling, really enjoying themselves, and definitely loving the music!

The music was spread out over 3 days, on a number of different stages. Pyro-Mid stage has been at Glade for a while and each year, they build it, the artists perform, and then they burn it down! Check the picture below!

Foreign Beggars shamed up the dancefloor in the Glade tent, bringing a really energetic set with their live performance. Submotion Orchestra was definitely another highlight for me, what with them having featured on MakeItGood! We briefly caught up with Illaman and Jamie from Tomb Crew, who played on the Overkill stage, and bought nothing but good vibes with them! Another stand out set for me was Pinch and Koast MC, who really got all the dubstep heads going, with the bass weight sound!

Unfortunately, I was only able to stay until Sunday afternoon, but all the artists I saw at Glade really made the whole festival that extra bit special. Even though it was a little rainy and windy, everyone had a fantastic time.

So it’s fair to say, that Glade 2012 was an amazing weekend, yet again. Thank you for having us, and bring on next year!
